LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team finished the regular season with a 54-45 win over Penn State Brandywine Saturday afternoon in the Gambal Athletic Center.
Keystone finishes the regular season with a 16-9 overall record and 10-6 in the United East.
The team honored its three seniors Rose Bare (Bronx, N.Y./Taft), Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall), and Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) prior to the start of today's game.
Rosario led the team with 13 points and four rebounds. Bryant and Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) combined for 20 points and 11 steals.
Brandywine was led by Sierra Diawara who was a rebound shy of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Keystone trailed 41-36 heading into the fourth quarter, they would go on a 16-4 run in the final quarter to win the game. The Giants shot 33.3 percent (20-of-60) from the field and scored 30 points off turnovers.
With the regular season officially in the books, the Giants locked the nine seed in the United East Conference Tournament and will head to eight seed Saint Elizabeth University for the first-round playoff game on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
