WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team came up short on the road as they were defeated to Penn College 47-42 Wednesday evening.
Keystone falls to 14-8 (8-5 United East).
Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) posted 12 points and four rebounds. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) added nine points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Kamryn Alers (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and Iysis Nickens (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) both scored six points.
Two Wildcats ended the game in double figures as Gigi Parlante contributed with 16 points and seven rebounds. Lexi Troup added 10 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Rachel Teats nearly had a triple-double as she compiled eight points, nine assists, and eight rebounds.
The Giants held a slight 25-23 lead at halftime before being outscored 24-17 in the second half. The team shot nearly 26 percent (15-of-58) from the floor and lost the rebounding battle, 38-24.
Keystone will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, Feb. 8 as they host Notre Dame of Maryland University at 1 p.m.
