LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team suffered a home conference loss to Notre Dame of Maryland University 76-55 Saturday afternoon.
Keystone drops to 14-9 with an 8-6 mark in conference play.
Iysis Nickens (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) led the team with 16 points and three rebounds. Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) had 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) and Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) both scored eight points. Bryant collected four assists, steals, and rebounds in today's contest.
For Notre Dame, Amani Watts was a rebound shy of a double-double as she had 26 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. Elena Rodriguez added 19 points and five assists. Amya Durham dropped 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Yasmeen Yussuf grabbed a team high 12 rebounds.
Keystone shot 28.1 percent (18-of-64) from the floor and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) at the free throw line. The Gators held a 38-33 advantage on rebounds.
The Giants look to get the back in the win column on Tuesday, Feb. 11 as they head to Cedar Crest College for a 6 pm matchup with the Falcons.
