Rivas's Five RBI Day Propels Keystone to Dominant Win over Penn State Altoona

AUBURNDALE, Fla.- The Keystone College baseball team put up another solid offensive performance as they defeated Penn State Altoona 21-7 Tuesday afternoon.

Andy Rivas (Bronx, N.Y./Academy for Language and Technology) went 3-for-3 with five RBI as the senior belted his second home run of the season. He also had two RBI single in the third inning and an RBI single in the fourth.

Donovan Rhoden (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) recorded three hits with four RBI which was highlighted by a bases clearing double. Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Chase Boyle (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) and Nate Ewing (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area)s for four hits and four runs batted in. Dante Ruby (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) contributed with a pinch hit three-run home run.

Quinn Holt (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) got the start and win as he went four innings with seven strikeouts. Julian Gonzalez (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) pitched two innings in relief and fanned three batters. Matthew Cuzco (Chicago, Ill./Saint Ignatius College Prep) made his collegiate debut and punched out two batters in one inning of work.

The Nittany Lions held a 6-2 lead after two innings of work after two innings before the Giants outscored them 19-1 the rest of the way. The team put up eight runs in the fifth.

Keystone (6-2) continue their Florida slate as they face the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
