DAVENPORT, Fla.- The Keystone College baseball team rolled to another victory in the Sunshine State as they defeated SUNY Oneonta 15-4 Wednesday afternoon.
Nate Ewing (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) went 5-fo-5 with two RBI. Carlos Pascual (Paterson, N.J./International) led the team with five runs batted in as he had a two RBI double, two RBI sac flies, and an RBI hit by pitch. Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) went 4-for-5 with two RBI.
Leam Powell (Phillipsport, N.Y./Chapel Field Christian) got the start and pitched 4.2 innings with seven strikeouts. Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) tossed the game in relief and struck out nine batters. Sorrentino earned the victory, his first of the season.
Both the Giants and Red Dragons scored two runs in the first inning. Keystone would add two more in the top half of the sixth while Oneonta tied the game again with two in the bottom half of the seventh. The Giants scoring came alive in the last two innings as they scored 11 unanswered runs with eight of them being scored in the ninth.
Keystone (7-2) concludes their spring break slate tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader against Stockton University starting at 2:30 p.m.
