MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- In a game that was rescheduled due to weather, the Keystone College softball team were defeated in their second game of the doubleheader to Penn State Harrisburg 11-1 Monday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions scored two runs in the first and second inning along with seven runs in the fourth for the mercy run rule win. Keystone's lone run came in the fifth off a throwing error.
The Giants had only one hit in the contest as Isabella Benitez (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) hit a double in the third inning. Courtney Cienki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) suffered the loss in the circle as she went three innings and gave up four runs (two earned) off one hit with six walks.
Keystone (5-18, 3-9 United East) hosts Lancaster Bible College tomorrow afternoon in their final home game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
