GREENWOOD, Ind.- Four Keystone softball players have received recognition on the Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
To be nominated, a student-athlete have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution. At the time of nomination, athletes must have played in at least 90 percent of the team's games or have started in at least 66 percent of the games.
Seniors Mara Brooks (Manassas, Va./Brentsville) and Isabella Mandarano (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) along with juniors Isabella Benitez (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) and Emily Schultz (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) were the recipients of this award.
Benitez, Mandarano, and Schultz land on the all-district team for the second consecutive time.
Brooks recently graduated from Keystone with a degree in early childhood education. The senior infielder finished with a 3.75 cumulative GPA. She appeared in 27 games with 26 starts where she batted .230 with nine RBI.
Mandarano also graduated from Keystone with an early childhood education degree. She ended her academic career with a 3.70 cumulative GPA. She played in 27 games while starting in 26 where she recorded a .257 batting average and 11 runs batted in.
Benitez, a dual major in early childhood education/special education, has a 3.75 cumulative GPA. The junior outfielder/pitcher played in all 27 games where she finished the season with a .267 batting average and 11 RBI. She was named Second Team All-United East a few weeks ago. In the circle, Benitez went 4-2 with a 7.24 ERA and 24 strikeouts.
Schultz is a business major with a 3.64 cumulative GPA. In 21 games played, she tallied a .343 batting average with 11 RBI. The junior pitched as well as she went 2-5 in 13 appearances with seven start. She struck out 31 batters in 50 innings of work.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
