LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team wrapped up the 2025-26 season with an 86-40 loss to Penn State Abington Tuesday evening.
Prior to the start of the game, the team honored Angelise Sanchez (Atlanta, Ga./Ocoee) in a pregame senior night ceremony.
Jayda Price (York, Pa./William Penn) paced the Giants with 15 points and eight rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting. Sanchez added 12 points, hitting four three-pointers, and Tayana Bibbins (Lincoln, Del./Sussex Technical) finished with six points and five rebounds. Krista Cortazar (Throop, Pa./Mid Valley) contributed six rebounds and five assists.
Tarianda Washington led the Nittany Lions with 14 points and 14 rebounds, including nine on the offensive glass. Amirah Hackney added 16 points, while Sereniti Minor chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Nia Newman contributed 12 points and eight boards, and Amina Reid tallied nine points and a game-high eight assists.
Abington set the tone from the opening tip, racing out to a 29-11 lead after one quarter behind hot perimeter shooting and crisp ball movement. The Nittany Lions shot 47.8 percent in the quarter and knocked down 4-of-6 from long range.
The visitors extended the advantage in the second quarter, outscoring Keystone 23-6 to take a 52-17 lead into halftime.
Keystone found more rhythm in the third quarter, shooting 38.5 percent in the period and matching Abington's energy for stretches, but the Nittany Lions were able to seal the game comfortably in the second half.
Abington dominated the glass, 57-29, and held a commanding 50-12 edge in points in the paint. The Nittany Lions' largest lead reached 49 points in the fourth quarter.
The Giants end the year with an overall record of 4-20 and a 3-10 mark in United East Conference play.
