Dontavius Smith has returned to the Keystone College football program as Offensive Coordinator for the 2026 season.
He spent the 2025 season as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Greensboro College before rejoining Keystone, where he previously spent six seasons as Offensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach. During his prior tenure at Keystone, Smith directed highly productive offenses that featured multiple all-conference players.
Before his time at Keystone, Smith served as the Wide Receivers and Quarterbacks Coach at Sul Ross State University for two seasons, mentoring several all-conference athletes. From 2014 to 2016, he coached the wide receivers (2014–15) and running backs (2015–16) at Waldorf University.
Smith also spent a season at Atlanta Sports Academy as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach, leading the team to an 11–4 record while directing an offense that averaged 44 points per game and amassed 5,500 total yards.
He began his collegiate coaching career at Widener University from 2012–13 as Wide Receivers Coach. In that role, he helped lead Widener to a 12–1 record and a berth in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals, while coaching All-American wide receiver Anthony Davis as part of a top-10 national offense.
Smith began his coaching career in Georgia high schools, serving as Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Metter High School from 2005–09 and as Secondary and Wide Receivers Coach at River Ridge High School from 2010–12.
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching from Georgia Southern University. He also holds a master’s in Education from Kaplan University and a master’s in health and human performance from Sul Ross State University.
Smith and his wife, Zuri, have four children: Tristan, Brielle, Lily, and Aria.
