The 2018 season marked Justin Cardamone's second season as the assistant coach for Keystone College's men's soccer team.
In 2018, the Giants finished 12-5-1 (5-1-0 CSAC) and won the program's first-ever CSAC title with a 2-1 win over Wilson on Nov. 3 to earn the automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
In his first year as an assistant coach with the program, the Giants posted a 13-5-1 overall record and went 7-1-1 in conference play to earn the #2 seed in the CSAC playoffs before finishing the year as the CSAC runner-up while reaching the conference championship game for the first time in program history.
Cardamone's previous coaching appointments include: serving as the head men's soccer coach at Lackawanna College, working for the New York Red Bulls as an academy coach, serving as the men's soccer assistant coach at Penn State Scranton, a head soccer coach at Lakeland Junior Senior High School, a head coach for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA), as well as being involved with local club organizations such as TNT Elite FC, Electric City Shock, and NEPSAY.
Cardamone played two seasons as a center midfielder for the Giants and led Keystone to a CSAC playoff berth in 2008. During his playing career at Keystone, Cardamone also earned honors as a CSAC All-Academic Team selection.
Cardamone holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier, Director of Coaching, Goalkeeper Level III License and his U.S. Soccer National D License as well as other United Soccer Coaches and U.S. Soccer Licenses. He is also a PIAA Official as well as SAY Soccer Official.
Cardamone graduated from Keystone in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a Minor in Mathematics. He also completed a Master's of Science from Wilkes University in 2015 in which he graduated Summa Cum Laude with highest honors.
