Arsenault arrives at his alma mater following a two-year stint as the head women’s basketball coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. He went 21-31 in his two seasons with the Golden Eagles and clinched a spot in the conference playoffs each season. 

Arsenault exceeded the recruitment efforts of the program as he brought in 13 newcomers to the roster in two seasons. Four players under his guidance received all-conference awards while one player finished second in the country in total rebounds and rebounds per game. Arsenault also enhanced the student-athlete academics, culminating in a team GPA of 3.62. 

Before Spalding, Arsenault was the head coach at Vermont State University-Lyndon. At VSU-Lyndon, he had an immediate impact as his team reached the NAC Tournament semifinals in his first season in 2019-20. It was just the second semifinal appearance in the program's history. His teams made the NAC Tournament all three years during his time in Vermont. 

Two Hornets earned All-Conference honors under Arsenault. The VSU-Lyndon women's basketball program also impressed in the classroom. The team GPA for his squad was an impressive 3.43 and 28 of Arsenault's student-athletes earned NAC All-Academic Team recognition. 

Prior to his time at VSU-Lyndon, Arsenault spent two years as a high school girls’ basketball coach in Vermont. Most notably, he led the Peoples Academy program in Morrisville, Vt. to their first winning season in 17 years and their first state Final Four in 21 years. Arsenault also spent two years as the assistant men's basketball coach and graduate assistant for athletics at NCAA DIII Vermont State University-Johnson. 

Arsenault earned his bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management from Keystone College and followed that up with graduate work at both VSU-Johnson and the University of Maine at Farmington.
