Rebecca White was named Keystone College head women’s tennis coach and assistant men’s tennis coach in August of 2016 following an outstanding, four-year playing career with the Giants.
White inherited a team low in numbers in her first season as head coach in 2016 and Keystone finished the year with a 1-11 overall record while going 1-9 mark in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Giants earned their lone of the season over conference rival Clarks Summit University on September 16 as Keystone leveled the all-time series with the Defenders 6-6 following the Giants' 6-3 victory in La Plume. White also had one player earn CSAC All-Academic Team honors for excellence in the classroom.
A member of Keystone’s women’s tennis team from 2012-2015, White ranks among Keystone’s all-time wins leaders after playing all four years at #1 doubles, two seasons at #1 singles, and two years at #2 singles. A two-time CSAC All-Academic Team honoree, she led the Giants to their only CSAC playoff appearance in her freshman year and was named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team as a junior.
White holds Keystone’s all-time record for career overall singles wins, career conference single wins, total conference wins, and is tied for first in total wins for a career with 30 between singles and doubles action. She also holds three of the top-10 marks for most singles wins in a season and is tied for second for overall doubles wins in a season. White was a three-year team captain at Keystone and led the Giants to 17 team wins, the best four-year run of any class in program history.
White graduated from Keystone in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Master of Accountancy degree at Keystone while working as a bookkeeper and insurance agent for the Cummings Insurance Agency.
