Rodney Shephard

Rodney Shephard joined the Keystone College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in September 2025.

Shephard comes to Keystone after spending the 2024–25 season as an assistant coach at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). While at ESF, he assisted with all aspects of the basketball program, including creating individual video edits and scouting reports, leading individual and small-group workouts, and contributing to recruiting efforts.

Shephard began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Randolph College during the 2022–23 season. Prior to Randolph, he served as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach at Allendale Columbia School in Rochester, N.Y., from 2020–22, and was the head coach of the Rochester Cagers Basketball Club from March 2019–22.

A 2021 graduate of Houghton College, Shephard was a four-year member of the men’s basketball program. He earned his master’s degree in sports administration from Canisius College in May 2022.
