La Plume, PA – The College of New Rochelle overcame a 1-0 deficit and 26 kills from
Hannah Zuchowski (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro Area) to defeat Keystone College in four sets in the Giants' Dig Pink Match on Tuesday night in the Gambal Athletic Center. The Blue Angels improve to 18-4 with the come from behind victory while Keystone slips to 8-10 on the season after suffering their fourth-straight setback.
Keystone got off to a good start on Tuesday night with a 25-20 decision in the opening set, but New Rochelle rallied with three unanswered wins of 25-23, 25-14, and 25-14 to pick up the victory.
Marissa Armstrong led the Blue Angels with 11 kills while Fabiola Padilla Rios added nine kills and eight digs in the victory. Melanie Lopez Soto dished out a team-leading 14 assists to go along with eight digs while Indigo Flowers contributed 13 assists and eight digs.
Tiany Diaz Perez led New Rochelle with 10 digs in the contest while Kylie Thesz added three blocks for the Blue Angels, who hit .129 for the game as a team.
Zuchowski tied a career-high with 26 kills on the night as the sophomore posting a .241 hitting percentage and added 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.
Carol Mosier (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake-Lehman) led all players with 17 assists on the night while
Amelia Morey (New Smyrna Beach, FL/New Smyrna Beach) dished out 14 helpers for the Giants.
Dana Carey (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock) picked up a match-high 18 digs and served up two aces for Keystone while
Ciera Scepaniak (Vestal, NY/Vestal) was the third player for the Giants in double-figures for digs with 10 on the evening.
Shatia Silas (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) tied for the match-high with three blocks in the loss for the Giants, who hit .110 in the loss.
After raising over $1,550 last fall, Keystone's volleyball team was honored with the Service Ace Award from the Side-Out Foundation, which uses proceed raised to award grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families.

Keystone will be back in action on Saturday with a tri-match at Gwynedd Mercy University. The Giants will square off against the host Griffins in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match at 11:00 a.m. before taking on Arcadia University in a non-conference tilt at 1:00 p.m.
