La Plume, PA – Keystone College's offense scored a season-high 18 runs as the Giants reached the 20-win plateau with an 18-4 victory over Cairn University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference game on Sunday as part of the 3
rd Annual Bill Howerton Strikeout Cancer Weekend. The Giants, who broke open a 3-3 tie with a six-run third inning before tacking on seven runs in the sixth inning, improve to 20-11 overall and move above .500 in CSAC play for the first time this spring at 6-5.

Alex Herceg (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial), but Cairn tied the game with a pair of runs in the visitor's third as Caleb Lang hit an RBI single before Caleb Moore score on an RBI groundout by Trent Fiori.
The Giants responded in a big way in the bottom half of the third, plating six runs on four hits, one walk, and one hit batsman.
Chris Bzozowski (Westampton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) hit an RBI single before
Julian Lanfranco (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian) drove in a pair of runs with a single through the left side. Herceg drew a bases-loaded walk before
Dylan Corl (Morrisdale, PA/West Branch ) scored when Luciano hit into a fielder's choice.
Gaston Rojas (Carmel, NY/Carmel) then scored Keystone's ninth run of the game on a double-steal.
Cairn got a run back in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by John Burgala, but that would make the final run Keystone would yield as the hosts then erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning to claim a 16-4 lead.
Eduardo Familia (Bronx, NY/Collegio Utesianode Estudios Integrados) got the scoring started in the inning with a two-run double and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Corl. Lanfranco touched home on a wild pitch before Luciano hit a sacrifice fly to score Rojas.
Louis Reyes (Port St. Lucie, FL/Treasure Coast) and
Nate Ross (Albuquerque, NM/La Cueva) followed with RBI singles.
Rojas capped the scoring with a two-run home run deep over the left field fence in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Dan Maguire (Ocean Township, NJ/Ocean Township) took a no-decision after allowing three runs on five hits in two innings of work.
Josh Zilla (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore) (2-0) was credited with the win after allowing one run on five hits in two innings before turning the ball over to
Austin Barefoot (Alexandria, PA/Tyrone Area), who scattered three hits and struck out one batter in three scoreless innings.
Joe Angelucci (Commack, NY/Commack) pitched a scoreless eighth inning with three strikeouts while
Rob DePhillips (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) pitched a scoreless ninth to close out the win.
Familia led the Giants with three hits while Luciano added two hits and a game-high four RBIs. Corl, Reyes and Bzozowski collected a pair of each on the day and Rojas score four runs for the hosts, who held a 17-15 edge in hits for the game.
Lang (1-1) started on the mound for Cairn and was charged with the loss after yielding eight runs on eight hits in two innings of work. Moore gave up seven runs on four hits in 3.1 innings before turning the ball over to Ben Chapman, who surrendered three runs on five hits in the final 2.2 innings on the hill.
Lang went 3-4 to pace the Highlanders, who got two hits apiece from Burlaga and Tristan Ortega.
Keystone will be right back on the diamond on Monday afternoon with a key CSAC game at Marywood University. First pitch between the Giants and Pacers is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Scranton.
