Baseball Headed to New York for NCAA Regionals

Keystone making eighth-straight appearance in NCAA Tournament

La Plume, PA – Keystone College's baseball team has been selected to play in the New York bracket of this spring's NCAA Regional Tournament which will hosted by SUNY Cortland at Falcon Park in Auburn, New York.  The Giants, who are 31-12 this spring, earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament after winning their seventh-straight Colonial States Athletic Conference championship this past Saturday, and are making their eighth-consecutive appearance in the regional tournament.
 
Keystone, who was picked as the #3 seed in this spring's tournament, will open up the double-elimination tournament on Wednesday against #6 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at 4:30 p.m.
 
Joining Keystone in this year's New York regional bracket are, in order of seeding: 1. SUNY Cortland, 2. Baldwin Wallace, 3. Keystone, 4. Oswego State, 5. Amherst, 6. RPI, 7. Old Westbury, and 8. Oberlin.

Keystone last appeared in the New York bracket in 2011 when the Giants won the regional tournament to punch their ticket to the NCAA Division III World Series.
 
The double-elimination, regional tournament is scheduled to begin this Wednesday, May 13 and run through Sunday, May 17.  The winner of the New York Regional Tournament, along with the winners of the seven other regional tournaments, will qualify for the double-elimination, Division III College World Series to be played at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin, May 22-26.
