La Plume, Pa. – Keystone College's defense clamped down and allowed the team's fewest points against as the Giants earned a 74-59 victory over visiting Immaculata University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball matchup on Wednesday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center.  The Giants improve to 2-10 overall this season including a 2-5 mark in league play while the Mighty Macs fall to 5-9 overall and 4-3 in the conference.

Keystone raced out to a 16-4 lead over the first 7:17 of Wednesday contest before Immaculata snapped the host's run with a three-pointer.  Tyreek Peeples (Philadelphia, PA/Girard College) and Khyle Diaz (East Miramar, FL/Pembroke Pines Charter) hit back-to-back treys for the Giants to push the Giants' lead to 15 points at the nine minute mark and Keystone would lead by as many as 19 points before taking a 40-26 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Peeples kick-started Keystone's offense in the first half, leading all players with 11 points to go along with two assists.  Tyree Jones (Harlem, NY/Holcombe L. Rucker) added seven points and a pair of helpers while ShaShawn Drayton (Monticello, NY/Monticello) led all players with five rebounds in the opening 20 minutes of play.  The Giants shot a hot, 57.1 percent from the field in the first stanza including a 5-11 effort from three-point range while connecting on all three of the free throw attempts.

Immaculata battled back into the game over the first 7:08 of the second half, outscoring Keystone 17-4 during that stretch to cut the Giants' lead to 44-43 before Devin Williams (Monticello, NY/Monticello) converted a layup to put the Giants back up by three.  The Mighty Macs cut their deficit to a single point two more times, but a lay-in by Williams at the 8:46 mark ignited a 13-1 run by the hosts that pushed Keystone's lead to 61-48 with just under six minutes remaining.

The Giants, who extended their lead to as many as 16 points, maintained a double-digit lead to secure their second conference win in their last three games.
