Colby Bronzburg (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) and
Paul Miller (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) recorded two pins apiece to lead Keystone College's wrestling team on Monday as the Giants closed out competition for the semester at the Washington & Lee University Duals. Keystone went winless in four matches to fall to 4-8 on the season.
Match 1 vs. Southern Virginia University
In Monday's opener against Southern Virginia (5-3), the Knights edged the Giants 30-21 behind four forfeits, a pin, and a decision.
Harry Marr (Nottingham, Pa./Oxford Area) scored Keystone's lone win in contests matches with a 4-1 decision at 149 pounds. The Giants also picked up three victories by forfeit in the match.
Match 2 vs. Greensboro College
In Monday's second bout against Greensboro (1-9), Keystone got pins from Bronzburg, Miller, and
Jake Rugis (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom), but fell to the Pride, 31-18. Greensboro recorded just one pin in the match and had three decisions while benefiting from three forfeits in the contest.
Bronzburg scored a fall at the 4:15 mark of the 125 pound bout while Miller pinned his opponent 5:09 into his matchup at 133 pounds. Ruguis scored a pin in the heavyweight contest in a time of 4:57.
Match 3 vs. Muskingum University
In the third match against Muskingum (2-4), the Fighting Muskies overcame Miller's second pin of the day to defeat the Giants 33-10. Miller pinned his opponent just 1:31 into the 133-pound contest while
Thomas Michaels (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) scored an 11-1 major decision at 157 pounds.
Muskingum had one fall and three decisions in the win while also taking three bouts by forfeit.
Match 4 vs. Ohio Northern University
In Monday's final match against Ohio Northern (4-3), the Polar Bears had six forfeit victories and added two pins and one decision to defeat Keystone. Bronzburg recorded his second fall of the day, pinning his opponent just 22 seconds into the 125-pound contest. Rugis picked up the Giants' other six points in the match with a forfeit win.
