La Plume, Pa. - The remnants of last week's major winter storm combined with the current forecast for this week has forced changes to Keystone College's athletics schedule. The changes listed below reflect the most current updates and additional changes will be posted to www.gokcgiants.com as they become available.
Tuesday's softball doubleheader at Wilkes University has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions in Wilkes-Barre. Additionally, Keystone's home opener against King's College, originally scheduled for Monday, March 27, has been postponed. The makeup date for the twin bill at Wilkes has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, April 19 while the King's games will now be played on Monday, April 10.
The women's lacrosse game at Lancaster Bible College, originally scheduled to be played this Wednesday, March 22, has been pushed up a day and will now be played tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21 due to forecasted high winds and cold temperatures. The non-conference game between the Giants and Chargers will start at 4:00 p.m. in Lancaster, Pa.
The men's tennis season opener at Misericordia University, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, has been postponed. The Giants and Cougars will now make up the non-conference match on Monday, April 3. Additionally, Keystone's CSAC opener against Immaculata University, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 25, has been postponed with a makeup date yet to be determined.
Friday's Colonial States Athletic Conference baseball opener between Keystone and Cabrini University will now be played at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. The Giants will remain the "home" team for the contest, which starts at 3:30 p.m. before teams close out their regular season series with Saturday's doubleheader on the same field.
