Women’s Golf Plays First-Ever Match at Scranton Municipal G.C.

Keystone falls to Marywood 4-0 in match play

Results

Mount Cobb, Pa. – A new era began on Friday as Keystone College's women's golf team played its first match in program history, falling 4-0 to Marywood University in match play at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course. 
 
The Pacers (4-0) remained unbeaten this fall by winning all four contests on the par 72, 6,274-yard course against the Giants (0-1), who had four golfers playing the first matches of their collegiate careers.
 
Christiane Lowcher defeated Nicole Frascati (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers) 1-up while Mariah Casey and Juliet Lepri were victorious over Jenna Moranski (Gardiner, N.Y./New Paltz) and Shauna Menzella (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley) by identical, 9 & 7 scores.
 
Kim Geary topped Halle Stalsitz (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) 10 & 8 to round out the contests.
 
Keystone is currently scheduled to return to the links in the spring, though additional matches could be added later this fall.  Be sure to check www.gokcgiants.com for updates.
