NCAA First Round Preview: Keystone at No. 8 Case Western Reserve

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Nov. 5, 2018 – After capturing the first CSAC title in program history, the Keystone College men's soccer team will head to No. 8 Case Western Reserve on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11 am, in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament.

Admissions
Admission will be charged for these games.
 
Ticket prices are:
$6 - Adults (18 and over)
$3 - Students (including those from participating institutions) & Seniors
$2 - Children 3-12
Free – Children 2 and under
 
Two ticket booths will be staffed for the game (north and south end of the stadium) and all guests will be required to purchase a ticket.  Doors will open 1 hour prior to the first game of each session.
 
Schools are able to provide a ticket pass list for their teams and CWRU will be able to administer that list.  Following the game, an invoice for tickets actually picked up will be sent to the school for payment.
 
Parking
Parking for spectators will be available at Lot 46, next to DiSanto Field for the game at a special event rate of $7.  The lot will open at 90 minutes prior to the first game of each session.
 
Parking for team buses will be provided at no charge near the field on Finnigan Way.  If there are other team vehicles that will require parking, our special event parking rate of $7 will apply for Lot 46.

KEYSTONE GIANTS (12-4-1)
  • The Giants defeated Wilson 2-1 in the CSAC Championship on Saturday.
  • Sophomore Carlos Bonilla (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge) scored in the 7th minute and senior Kouassi Kouadio (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) netted his first goal of the year in the 60th minute, which stood as the game winner.
  • Kouadio was named the CSAC Tournament MVP.
  • Junior Daniel Zuniga (Lakeland, Fla./McKeel Academy) and sophomore Khadim Thiam (New York, N.Y./Washington Irving) were named the CSAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively, following the regular season.
  • Zuniga leads the team with 13 goals and 29 points while Bonilla has contributed six goals and seven assists.
  • Freshman Harrinson Cordoba (Cali, Colombia/Barbara Goleman) has tallied five goals and the Giants feature a team that has 10 players with six or more points this year.
  • Freshman keeper Erick Gomez (Marrero, La./John Ehret) is 12-2-0 with 29 saves, a goals-against average of 1.01 and four clean sheets.

No. 8 CASE WESTERN RESERVE SPARTANS (14-3-1)
  • The Spartans are 10-1-0 at home this year.
  • Case Western fell 3-1 at Carnegie Mellon on Nov. 3 to conclude the regular season and the Spartans defeated then-No. 1 Chicago on Senior Day on Oct. 14, 2-1.
  • Case Western has defeated five nationally-ranked programs this year (Chicago, Washington (Mo.), Rochester, Kenyon & Capital).
  • Senior Alex Besl and junior Garrett Winter lead the team with eight goals each while junior Zachary Senft has a team-high 21 points.
  • The Spartans feature five players with double-digit points.
  • Freshman keeper Charlie Fink is 14-3-1 this year with 55 saves, a .90 goals-against average and five clean sheets.
