RADNOR, Pa.—Cabrini University scored seven straight goals in the opening eight minutes of play and went on to post an 18-7 victory over Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's lacrosse action Friday afternoon.
Junior attacker Liz Hoeffner scored six goals—all in the first half—and junior attacker Avery Murphy finished with three goals as the Cavaliers improved to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Cavaliers also received two goals apiece from junior midfielder Emma Rodner-Tims and freshmen midfielders Taylor Dimmerling and Ashley Tutzauer.

Nisa Cortes (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) had an assist for Keystone, which fell to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC.
The Cavaliers dominated all phases of the game, out-shooting the Giants, 51-12, winning 17 of the 27 draw controls, and holding a 34-22 advantage in ground balls.
The Giants did pick up some momentum in the first half after Cabrini's quick start. Robinson and Smith scored back-to-back goals within an 18-second span that cut the Cavaliers' lead to 8-3. The Cavaliers answered with a 6-1 run that featured two goals by Hoeffner to take a 14-4 advantage by intermission.

Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) made 15 saves for Keystone, which will return to action on Wednesday, March 28, against Neumann University in CSAC action beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Giants' Turf Field complex in La Plume.
