Women’s Basketball Falls 86-69 at Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Jan. 26, 2019 - Despite being tied at 62 heading to the fourth quarter, the Keystone College women's basketball team fell at host Rosemont College 86-69 in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, Keystone drops to 10-9, 7-4 CSAC and the Giants head to Notre Dame (Md.) on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. before returning home to host Bryn Athyn on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.

With the win, league-leading Rosemont improves to 16-3, 10-0 CSAC and the Ravens travel to Bryn Athyn on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. before returning home to host Wilson College on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.

Freshman Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) tied for the game-high with 23 points, going 9-of-18 from the field, including a trio of three pointers. Oribello also provided a game-high five steals to go along with four assists and three rebounds.

Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) tallied a double-double with 22 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, shooting 6-of-15 from the field and 7-of-9 from the foul line. Gordon registered three steals, two assists and one block in the defeat.

Also joining in double figures was junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin), who scored 12 points, going 2-of-4 from deep and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. Senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) scored eight points and grabbed five boards while sophomores Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) and Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) combined for four points and eight rebounds.

For the Ravens, Ashley Murray scored 23 points and grabbed a game-best 17 rebounds. Ke'Alohilani Naone-Carter scored 19 points, including her 1,000th career point. Shawn Dowd tallied 15 points for Rosemont.

The Giants trailed by just five at halftime, 42-37, and went on a 25-20 spurt in the third quarter to knot the contest at 62-all heading to the final period. However, Rosemont outscored Keystone 24-7 in the final period to pull away.
