Women’s Basketball Enjoys 67-44 Win Over Clarks Summit on Senior Day

La PLUME, Pa. - Feb. 9, 2019 – Freshman Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) poured in a season-high 27 points to lead the Keystone College women's basketball team past visiting Clarks Summit University 67-44 on Saturday afternoon in CSAC action.

With the win, Keystone improves to 13-10, 10-5 CSAC and the Giants remain at home to host Cairn University (11-11, 8-5 CSAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. The game will be televised by Fox 56 Sports on MYTV-WQMY.

Keystone has clinched a berth into the CSAC playoffs, with seeding still up for grabs.

Clarks Summit falls to 0-22, 0-14 CSAC and the Defenders host Cedar Crest Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

At halftime of Saturday's contest, the program honored Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) for Senior Day. Kitchen scored two points and grabbed five boards in the win. In addition, head coach Kristina Danella was honored for her 100th career win at Centenary on Wednesday.

Oribello shot 10-of-21 from the field and 6-of-8 from the foul line to go along with seven steals, five assists and four rebounds.

Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) followed with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, three steals, three helpers and one block in 26 minutes off the bench.

Sophomore Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) enjoyed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) chipped in seven points, three steals and two assists.

For the Defenders, Randie Traxler tallied 17 points while Dani Mansberger followed with 11 points.

The Giants led at halftime 33-24 and used a 24-9 third quarter to put the game out of reach.
