HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Senior
Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) tallied four goals and junior
Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) notched three goals as the Keystone College women's lacrosse team enjoyed a 16-0 blanking of host Centenary University (N.J) on Saturday afternoon in CSAC action.
With the victory, the Giants improve to 4-3 (3-0 CSAC) and will return home to host Cedar Crest College on Tuesday, April 2 at 4 p.m. The Cyclones drop to 0-4 (0-2 CSAC) on the season.
Bain finished with four goals and one assist for five points while Robinson filled up the stat sheet with three goals, eight shots, six ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Junior
Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) tallied two goals on five shots and provided four draw controls and two ground balls.
Senior
Nisa Cortes (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) found the back of the net twice while seniors
Emily Hutton (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union),
Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and
Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) all scored one goal each.
Junior
April Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) notched one goal and two helpers while junior
Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) tallied one goal.
The Giants scored 10 first-half goals and with the running clock in the second half, added six more goals.
Junior keeper
Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) made one stop on two shots faced as Keystone outshot the Cyclones 42-2.
