Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) totaled 11 points and seniors
Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey),
Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and
Nisa Cortes (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) combined for 11 goals as the Keystone College women's lacrosse team enjoyed a 19-3 CSAC win over Cedar Crest College on Tuesday afternoon.
With the win, the Giants are now 5-3 (4-0 CSAC) and will host Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. on Senior Day. The Falcons drop to 1-6 (1-3 CSAC).
Robinson finished with six goals and five assists for 11 points, tying for the second most in single game program history. The junior also tallied five ground balls, four draw controls and four caused turnovers.
Bain and Smith both notched four goals each with Smith providing an assist. Bain registered 10 draw controls – which is the most ever in single-game history – and caused three turnovers. Smith finished with four ground balls.
Cortes finished with four points and three ground balls. Junior
April Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) tallied a goal and one assist while sophomore
Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) wrapped up the scoring with one goal. Junior
Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) finished with one assist, four caused turnovers and three ground balls.
Junior
Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) earned the win, making three saves.
The Giants jumped out to a 9-0 lead and were ahead 12-1 at halftime. Keystone notched seven second-half scores and outshot the Falcons 34-6.
