Robinson & Smith Combine for 11 Goals in 21-2 Win at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and senior Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) of the Keystone College women's lacrosse team combined for 11 goals as the Giants defeated Cedar Crest College 21-2 in CSAC action on Wednesday evening.

With the victory, the Giants improve to 7-3 (6-0 CSAC) as Keystone heads to Rosemont College on Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. The Falcons drop to 2-7 (2-4 CSAC).

Robinson - the reigning CSAC Offensive Player of the Week - rattled off six goals and three assists for nine points. She tallied eight shots on goal, four ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Smith notched five goals and three assists for eight points while seniors Nisa Cortes (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) and Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) combined for five goals and two assists. Bain led the team with eight draw controls.

Junior Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) notched a game-high five ground balls and provided one goal. Juniors April Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) and Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and sophomores Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) and Alex Williams (Elkton, Md./The Tome School) all scored one goal each.

Junior keeper Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) made two stops in net. Overall, the Giants outshot the Falcons 28-6.
