ROSEMONT, Pa. – Keystone College women's lacrosse junior
Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and seniors
Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and
Nisa Cortes (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) combined for 14 goals in Saturday's 20-1 CSAC win at Rosemont.
With the victory, the Giants improve to 8-3 (7-0 CSAC) and will host Centenary on Tuesday, April 16 at 4 p.m. The Ravens fall to 2-10 (2-3 CSAC).
Robinson finished with six goals on 11 shots and is now at 99 career goals. Smith tallied five goals and four assists for nine points and sits just one point shy of 100 career points. Cortes finished with three goals and one assist.
Junior keeper
Daphne Leenas (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) started and played 53:23 in the cage but came in to play the field and finished with one goal and one assist. Leenas is 11 saves shy of 400 in her career.
Juniors
Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin),
April Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin), and
Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and seniors
Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) and
Victoria Homfeld (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) all tallied one goal each. Bain finished with nine draw controls.
The Giants led 13-0 at halftime and outscored the Ravens 7-1 in the second half.
