Women's Lax Falls at Wilkes

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - The Keystone College women's lacrosse team fell at Wilkes University 21-2 in non-conference action on Monday evening at Schmidt Stadium.

With the defeat, the Giants drop to 0-3 and will return home to host Eastern University (0-5) on Wednesday, March 23 at 4 p.m. Wilkes improves to 2-4 and will travel to Neumann University (4-2) on Thursday, March 24 at 4 p.m.

The Colonels jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter and held a 13-1 advantage at halftime.

For Keystone, Krista Strausser (Danville, Pa./Danville) and Riley Hayes (Alexandria, Va./Edison) both tallied goals. Strausser provided six draw controls.

Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) led the Giants with four ground balls and chipped in with two draw controls. Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) and Meghan Drennan contributed three draw controls apiece. Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) made 13 saves in the cage.

Wilkes touted six players with two or more goals, as Camryn Devitt tallied four goals and one assist. Sam Mullen, Breanne Fulling, and Laura Bayzick all enjoyed hat tricks.
