La PLUME, Pa. – Keystone women's lacrosse got win No. 1 defeating Centenary, 15-5, Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Team-leading scorer Krista Strausser (Danville, Pa./Danville) got Keystone on the board early with four scores through the first seven minutes of play. The senior added three more to finish with a season-high seven goals.
Centenary rebounded with back-to-back scores in under 30 seconds to make it a two-point deficit, but Strausser and Rileys Hayes re-extended the Giants lead back to four.
The Cyclones' Brooke Bode put in a pair of goals to close out the first quarter and make it a 6-4 game with Keystone leading. From there, the Giants poured in nine-unanswered points on the way to their first win of the season.
Keystone improved to 1-8 overall and 1-2 in the CSAC.
Centenary fell to 1-4 overall, 0-3 CSAC.
