Giants Downed by Lions, 15-2, In Road Conference Opener

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Matthew Bardoo (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) scored a pair of goals to lead the Giants in their Colonial States Athletic Conference opener Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as Keystone fell to Bryn Athyn, 15-2, at General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Bardoo's goals — both unassisted — came in each half with the first score at the 4:20 mark of the second quarter to break an 8-0 Bryn Athyn lead.

The Lions got on the board just over 30 seconds into the game on Jamal White's assist to Ryan Ovecka for the score.

Keystone fell to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the CSAC while Bryn Athyn improved to 1-4 (1-0 CSAC).

  • For Bardoo, that was his second and third goals on the season. The freshman also collected three ground balls.
  • Izaiah Simon (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) won seven face-offs and had a team-high five ground balls.
