La PLUME, Pa. – Gabe Reyes (Rockville, Md./Rockville) became the Keystone College men's lacrosse program leader in career caused turnovers in Friday's defeat to Montclair State in CSAC action, falling to the Red Hawks 26-0.
The Giants (0-5, 0-2 CSAC) will travel to Rosemont College (6-6, 1-0 CSAC) on Wednesday, April 13 at 4 p.m.
Montclair State improves to 7-4 (1-1 CSAC) and will host Cairn University (0-6, 0-1 CSAC) on Wednesday, April 13 at 6 p.m.
Reyes finished the day with three caused turnovers and three ground balls - and now has 56 caused turnovers in his career - surpassing Brendan Brown's 54 (2015-18).
A.J. Hackenberg (Greenfield Twp., Pa./Lakeland), Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow), Matthew Bardoo (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore), Erik Duran (Marietta, Ga./Kennesaw Mountain), and Izaiah Simon (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) combined for seven shots, with McManus tallying two shots on goal.
Simon won three faceoffs and collected four ground balls. Angel Rodriguez (Islip, N.Y./Islip) played his first career game in goal and made six saves and tallied three ground balls while facing 49 shots.
Montclair jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the opening quarter and led 16-0 at the break. The Red Hawks tacked on 10 more goals in the second half.
10 players had 2+ goals for the Red Hawks, as Mike McCreery notched three goals with two assists. Tyler McCreery provided two scores and four helpers while Matt Dancsecs dished out four assists.
