Women's Lax Falls at Wilson

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Keystone College women's lacrosse team fell at Wilson College 12-5 in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon.

With the defeat, the Giants drop to 2-9 (2-3 CSAC) and will head to Marywood University (4-7) for a non-conference match on Tuesday, April 26 at 5 p.m. Keystone will return home to host Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.

The Phoenix rise to 6-8 (4-2 CSAC) and will gear up for the CSAC playoffs, starting with the semifinals on May 4.

Krista Strausser (Danville, Pa./Danville) tallied four goals on 11 shots on goal with six draw controls and one caused turnover. Riley Hayes (Alexandria, Va./Edison) chipped in one goal while Samantha Hamlin (Binghamton, N.Y./Johnson City Central) and Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) provided one assist each.

Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West), Alex Williams (Elkton, Md./The Tome School), and Meaghan Drennan (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) combined for 11 shots (six on target). Hamlin led the defensive unit with six ground balls and five caused turnovers. Amilee Miller (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) chipped in four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) made a season-high 15 saves in the cage for Keystone, facing 33 shots.

The Giants trailed 3-2 after the first period before Wilson rattled off four unanswered goals to claim a 7-2 lead at halftime. The Phoenix outscored KC 5-3 in the second half.

For Wilson, Sage Lague tallied four goals while Michaela Singer and Kayla McHugh notched two scores each.
