Men’s Soccer Holds Off St. Elizabeth for 2-1 Win

MADISON, N.J.- The Keystone College men's soccer team picked up a massive 2-1 United East Skye Division win over St. Elizabeth University Tuesday afternoon at Elizabeth Ruth Hennessey Field on the campus of FDU-Florham.

Keystone improves to 3-11-1 (3-3 United East). St. Eizabeth falls 9-2-2 (3-1-2 United East).

Luis Arrieta (Miami, Fla./Miami Killian) got the scoring started with a PK goal in the 16th minute. Hernan Godoy (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) added the second goal for the Giants in the 67th minute. Junior goalkeeper Dominic Weber (Martinsburg, W.V./Spring Mills) made five saves. Sebastian Londono added a late goal for St. Elizabeth in the 76th minute. The Eagles had opportunities to equalize the match but were unable to capitalize.

The Eagles outshot the Giants, 18-8. In addition, St. Elizabeth held an 11-2 advantage on corner kicks. There were ten yellow cards given in the match.

Keystone returns home to face Wilson College on Senior Day. The match is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
