LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College football team is back home following two straight away games as they welcome the River Hawks of Susquehanna University to Keystone for a Landmark Conference and Homecoming matchup on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
Keystone
Keystone (1-4, 0-1 Landmark) are coming off a 58-34 loss to Moravian in the team's Landmark Conference opener.
Damir Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep) had a big day on the ground with 160 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Jayson Nami (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township) was the team's leading receiver with two catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Paul Drummond (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South) got the start at quarterback and threw for 103 yards with one touchdown and a pick.
CJ Riccobono (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) led the Giants with 11 total tackles. Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) finished with eight. Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick) contributed with six tackles and an interception. Dontez Crawford (Baltimore, Md./Pennsauken) and Bryant Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Frankford) combined for three pass break ups.
Keystone trailed 7-6 after the first quarter before Moravian put on an offensive explosion. The Greyhounds combined for 45 points in the second and third quarter.
Susquehanna
Nationally ranked Susquehanna University (5-0, 1-0 Landmark) opened Landmark play with a 50-21 win over Catholic last Saturday.
Quarterback Josh Ehrlich completed 22 passes for 214 yards with two scores. Tommy Grabowski ran for 111 yards with a touchdown. Kyle Howes caught the two touchdowns from Ehrlich.
The River Hawks defense was led by Tom Pherson who had seven tackles which included a sack as well as recovering a fumble. Xavier Maple recorded his first collegiate interception. Kicker Christian Colasurdo made two field goals.
Up 17-9 at halftime, Susquehanna went on a massive run in the second half as they outscored the Cardinals, 31-14. They held Catholic to no points in the third quarter.
What's Next
Following the Homecoming game, Keystone will take a short trip to Edwardsville, Pa. to faceoff with Wilkes University next Saturday Oct. 14 at 12 p.m.
