LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team earned a big conference victory Wednesday evening as they took down St. Elizabeth University 75-50 in the Gambal Athletic Center. With the win, Keystone jumps to 9-11 (5-4 CSAC). St. Elizabeth falls to 7-11 (4-5 CSAC).
Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) and Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) both combined for 48 points tonight. Flowers-Smith had 24 points and four assists. Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) had another double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Following a two-game absence, Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) returned to the court and scored 15 points and dished out six assists. Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) was on a triple-double watch as the sophomore had nine points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Three Eagles finished in double figures as Pierre Harden led St. Elizabeth with 20 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds.
Keystone shot an even 50 percent from the field, and was 45 percent from the free throw line. There were seven lead changes in the game. The Eagles did have the edge on rebounds, 37-34.
The Giants will stay home as they welcome the University of Valley Forge to La Plume on Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. St. Elizabeth heads to Bryn Athyn College on the same day for a 1 p.m. tip.
