LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone suffered a narrow 16-11 defeat to Husson University Sunday morning in nonconference action.
With the loss, Keystone drops to 0-2. Husson improves to 4-2.
Anthony Hott (Warminster, Pa./William Tennet) tallied a game and career high four goals and three assists in the contest. For the second straight game, Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) recorded a hat trick and dished out three assists.
Gage Foley (Lacombe, Alberta, Canada/Lacombe Composite) and Izaiah Simon (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) both recorded two goals and one assist. AJ Hackenburg and Sean Ott (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne) combined for three assists.
For Husson, Gunner McAllister led Husson with five goals and notched two assists. Matt Boynton recorded a hat trick and three assists.
Trailing 10-5 at halftime, the Giants were able to outscore the Eagles 2-1 in the third quarter. Keystone scored two early goals in the fourth before Husson netted three unanswered goals to help the Eagles get the victory.
Husson barely outshot Keystone, 46-45. There were 11 penalties called in the nonconference clash.
Keystone will be off for spring break. They return to action on Saturday, Mar. 18 when they face Alvernia University at home at 1 p.m. Husson will travel to University of Southern Maine on the same day at noon.
