Women's Lax Falls at King's 18-7

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Keystone College women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-7 non-conference decision at King's College on Saturday afternoon.

The Giants (0-2) return home to host Maine Maritime Academy on Tuesday, March 7 at 12 p.m. The Monarchs improve to 1-3 on the year.

Keystone jumped out to a 4-3 lead after the first quarter but was outscored 5-2 in the second stanza, as King's held an 8-6 lead at intermission.

The Monarchs outscored the Giants 10-1 in the second half. King's outshot Keystone 33-15 and held a 17-12 edge in draw controls.

Makayla Batts (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) tallied two goals and three points on the day while Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) and Lillian Kennedy-Butler (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll School) notched a goal and an assist apiece.

Meaghan Drennan (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area), Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul), and Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) all recorded one goal. Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) made 10 saves on the day.

For King's, four players finished with three or more goals, with Emilee Schultz leading the way with four goals. Kyleigh Dunworth notched six points for the Monarchs.
