La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College men's lacrosse team fell to visiting Bryn Athyn College 13-8 in CSAC action on Wednesday evening.
The Giants (0-10, 0-3 CSAC) head to Cairn on Saturday, April 22. The Lions improve to 3-4 (1-2 CSAC).
Keystone honored Izaiah Simon (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) and Angel Rodriguez (Islip, N.Y./Islip) in a pregame ceremony for Senior Day.
Bryn Athyn jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Keystone tied the game at 3-3 in the second. The Giants trailed at halftime, 8-4.
Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) tallied three goals while Anthony Hott (Warminster, Pa./William Tennet) provided two scores and two assists. Cody Dembski (Agoura Hills, Calif./Agoura), Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) and Simon provided the other scores.
Smith now has 26 goals this season, breaking the previous single-season program record of 23 scores by Patrick Hash (2016) and Caleb Strope (2018).
Dembski went 16-of-25 at faceoffs with 16 groundballs. Josh Kovaleski (Jermyn, Pa./Lakeland), Tyler Shertzer (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area), Noah Lance (Scranton, Pa./Scranton/PA Cyber), and Jojo Kobayashi (Princeton Junction, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) combined for nine caused turnovers.
Rodriguez made 17 saves in the defeat.
