LANGHORNE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team suffered an 18-10 loss to Cairn University in the team's regular season finale Saturday afternoon at the G. Patrick Stillman Athletic Complex. With the loss, Keystone wraps up the regular season 0-11. Cairn moves to 5-6.
Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) led Keystone with six goals while Anthony Hott (Warminster, Pa./William Tennet) dished out six assists. Izaiah Simon (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) and Sean Ott (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne) combined for two goals and four assists. Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) and Gage Foley (Lacombe, Alberta, Canada/Lacombe Composite) chipped in with a goal. Cody Dembski (Agoura Hills, Calif./Agoura) won 22 faceoffs. Freshman goalkeeper Jose Luis Servin (Manassas City, Va./Osbourn) made 11 saves in the defeat.
For Cairn, Jonathan Balsamo led the Highlanders with eight goals and one assists. Cole Heffler ended the final regular season game with five goals and three assists.
The Highlanders barely outshot the Giants, 55-52. Keystone finished with a 47-35 advantage on ground balls. The Giants were 13-for-19 on clear attempts.
Keystone will head to Rosemont College for CSAC Semifinals on Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 7 p.m. Cairn will host Bryn Athyn in the conference semifinals on the same day.
