Keystone Football Week Six Preview: Susquehanna

SELINGSGROVE, Pa.- The Keystone College football team will be taking a trip to Selinsgrove to battle No. 8/9 Susquehanna University on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. 

Keystone 

Keystone (1-4, 0-1 Landmark) dropped their conference opener to Moravian University 55-14 last Saturday.  

Mujaheed Muhammad and Jorden Cook (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) recorded the lone rushing touchdowns for the Giants. Muhammad tallied 93 yards rushing in the contest. Donald Leach III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) threw for 180 yards with two picks. Jayson Nami (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township) had 106 receiving yards in the defeat.   

Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick) and Tyler Malanga (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Twp.) led the Keystone defense with six total tackles. Linebacker Nicholas DeFrancesco (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) made five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss and a half sack. Graduate student defensive back CJ Riccobono (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) also had five tackles.  

Kicker Jeremiah Ortiz (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) punted twice for 83 yards and averaged 41.5 yards a punt.  

Susquehanna 

The Susquehanna Riverhawks (4-1, 1-0 Landmark) defeated Catholic University in their first Landmark Conference game, 48-14.  

Quarterback Josh Ehrlich threw for 294 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. Freshman running back Rahshan La Mons tallied 120 yards rushing with one score. La Mons and senior wide receiver Kyle Howes combined for 162 yards receiving with three touchdowns.  

On the defensive side, Garrett Carter had six total tackles. Galen Limantour posted a team high two sacks in the victory.  

Susquehanna's kicking game shined as Dominic Bourgrois earned Landmark Conference Specialist of the Week as he had five kickoffs for 309 yards. Three of his five kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. Christian Colasurdo punted three times for 134 yards. The senior averaged 44.7 yards a punt with his longest going for 64 yards.

The Giants return to La Plume for their second to last home game of the season as they welcome Wilkes University next Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
