Football Tripped Up at No. 8/9 Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Keystone College football team suffered a road Landmark defeat to Susquehanna University 79-6 Saturday afternoon at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.

Keystone drops to 1-5 (0-2 Landmark) while Susquehanna improves to 5-1 (2-1 Landmark).

Donald Leach III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) threw for 102 yards with two picks. He also rushed for 60 yards in the defeat. The Giant's lone score came early in the fourth quarter as freshman quarterback Frankie Leyshon (Lake Ariel, Pa./Western Wayne) found Stephen Tatum (Baltimore, Md./Edmundson) for a 25-yard receiving touchdown.

Zach Hoover (Elmhurst Township, Pa./North Pocono) and CJ Riccobono (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) both had six tackles this afternoon to lead the Keystone defense. Quentin Tibbs (New Brunswick, N.J./New Brunswick) recorded five tackles and a half tackle for a loss.

Jeremiah Ortiz (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) punted 10 times for 328 yards and averaged close to 33 yards a punt. His longest went for 44 yards.

For the River Hawks, quarterback Josh Ehrlich was a perfect 11-for-11 for 203 yards with four touchdowns. Fellow wideouts Chris Bookter and Kyle Howes both had over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Drew Robinson, Garrett Carter, and Josh Parson all had six tackles. In addition, Parson recorded an interception and Jesse Ruisch had 22-yard pick-six.

The Giants will be back home to Wilkes University next Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
