Keystone Athletics to Debut Grab 'N Run Station

10/22/2024 2:58:00 PM

LA PLUME, Pa.- Keystone College Athletics is set to debut its new Giants Grab 'N Run (Fueling Station) on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 10a.m. in the Gambal Classroom.

The Giants Grab 'N Run station was created for athletes to come and grab fuel before and/or after their training and provide a platform for educating them on how the food they eat can support their performance and overall health. The station will be located inside the Gambal classroom and will offer something extra as athletes navigate the busy days of class, practice, lift, film, and other student athlete responsibilities.

Several items have been donated thus far, thanks to the support of the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank and the Howard, Rhine, Fernandez families. Non-perishable items, sports beverages and even some hygienic items are available along with various snack bars, pouches, fruit cups, oatmeal, noodles, crackers, mac-n-cheese, pretzels, etc. New items will be introduced periodically to keep the station thriving and to support the different needs of our Student-Athletes.

"Our goal is always to put the student-athlete experience at the forefront of everything we do and we feel this Grab 'N Run station will continue to deliver on our commitment to them," said Kacy Manning, the Director of Athletics at Keystone College.

Future collaboration agreements of the Grab 'N Run station are set to take place with our campus food provider, Sodexo along with other supporters of Keystone College Athletics.
