LA PLUME, Pa. – Keystone baseball squared off against Saint Elizabeth University in a double-header on Saturday, April 20th, and are coming out of these games with two more wins in the win column. After a quiet first game, the Giants' offense came to life in game two.
Game 1: Saint Elizabeth 1, Keystone 2
David Curreri (Beach Lake, Pa./Honesdale) and Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) picked up Keystone's only two hits in game one against the Eagles. Justin Mann's (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) single to left field in the second inning brought home Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) for the Giants first run. Later in the game, Greg Verano (Raritan, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) scored on a wild pitch which gave Keystone the lead and ultimately the win.
On the mound, Brayan Villar (West Orange, N.J./Belleville) picked up his fifth win of the season along with his second complete game of the season. In seven innings, Villar struck out five batters and gave up one earned run.
Game 2: Saint Elizabeth 2, Keystone 12
Darren Hagan (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) gave the team three RBI in game two today as he picked up four hits in four at-bats. Hagan's RBIs were all picked up across two doubles and a home run. Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) also picked up two hits in this game, including a two-run home run over the right field wall in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) picked up his second win on the mound this season after striking out six batters and giving up zero earned runs in 4.2 innings pitched. Seniors Julian Gonzalez (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne), Nick Termini (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights), and Justice Ramirez (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) all had a turn on the mound in this game after Sorrentino was relieved.

Giants baseball will be back in La Plume on Wednesday, April 24 to take on the Cougars of Misericordia University. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
