LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team were defeated at home to No. 16 Misericordia University 16-9 Wednesday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field.
Keystone falls to 24-11 while Misericordia extends their winning streak to 10 and improves to 27-8.
Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) tallied two hits with six RBI. The junior had a grand slam and a two-RBI double in today's game. Darren Hagan (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Chase Boyle (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) also posted two hits in the loss.
Brandon Valles (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) got the start and suffered the defeat as he went two innings and allowed five earned runs with two strikeouts. Julian Gonzalez (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne), Ryan Oka (Auburn, Wash./Jefferson), and Cam Hale (Covington, Wash./Kentridge) appeared in relief. Oka and Hale combined for five strikeouts.
The Giants resume conference as they welcome Rosemont College to La Plume for a single nine-inning game on Friday Apr. 26 at 3 p.m.
