SCRANTON, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team suffered an 18-4 loss to the University of Scranton Sunday afternoon.
Keystone falls to 16-8Â while the Royals improve to 15-5.
Greg Verano (Raritan, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) had a two-RBI pinch hit triple and Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) recorded an RBI single in the first. Marc, Garcia, Alex Brinkman (Jefferson Township, Pa./North Pocono), and Miguel Silfa (Santo Domingo, D.R./Passaic Tech Institute) each had a hit in this afternoon's contest.
Aidan Pawlak (Brooklyn, N.Y./Millennium Brooklyn) got the start and went three innings and allowed four earned runs and struck out one. Justice Ramirez (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen), Cam Hale (Covington, Wash./Kentridge), Anthony Mierez (Granby, Conn./Rockville), Cruz Hamilton (Scottsdale, Ariz./Cactus Shadows), and Noah Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) appeared in relief. Mierez struck out two batters in two innings of work. Ramirez and Hale both struck out a batter.
The Giants will head to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, Apr. 8 at 6 p.m.
