MORRISTOWN, N.J.- A dominant second half was the difference maker for the Keystone College women's basketball team as they claimed an 82-70 win over Saint Elizabeth Tuesday evening.
Keystone moves to 13-7 and 7-4 in United East Conference play.
Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was the star on the court as she posted a double-double with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) flirted with a double-double as she had 19 points with eight rebounds and three steals. Ginger Kerdock (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) was one point away from a double-double as she added nine points and 11 rebounds.
Four players finished in double figures for Saint Elizabeth as Ahjionae Cobb provided 22 points and four rebounds. Yasminah White tallied 15 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Ashley Phillips contributed with 11 points and six rebounds. Both Mya Davis and Paige Neal scored 10 points.
With both teams tied at 22 after the first quarter, the Eagles went out a 28-23 run in the second quarter to take a 40-34 lead at half. Keystone would go on a major tear as they outscored Saint Elizabeth 48-30 in the second half.
The Giants shot approximately 38 percent from the floor and heavily outrebounded their opponent, 64-39. Tonight's contest featured nine lead changes and the score being tied eight times.
Keystone returns to their home court to host Rosemont College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
