Jones Scores 22 as Keystone Drops Road Contest at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team fell 79–64 to Marywood University Tuesday night in non-conference action at the Insalaco Arena.

Ahmodrion Jones (Wilmington, Del./Delcastle Tech) led the Giants with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists, shooting 7-of-17 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the free-throw line. Jden Golding (Jacksonville, Fla./Clay) added 17 points and five rebounds, while PJ Murphy (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) finished with nine points and four boards. Conor Patton (Falls Church, Va./McLean) contributed six points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Marywood (2–1) was led by Michel Loftin, who poured in a game-high 24 points along with 11 rebounds and five assists. Shilo Bivins added 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Joe Macciocco chipped in 11 points and Ty Cheney scored 10.

The opening half featured several lead changes as both teams traded runs. Jones and Golding combined for 19 points in the first 20 minutes, and Keystone grabbed a brief five-point edge midway through the period after a layup from Jeramiah Maxwell-Lawus (Philadelphia, Pa./Belmont Charter). However, the Pacers closed the half on a 10–3 spurt to take a 35–30 lead into the locker room.

Marywood found its rhythm after the break, shooting an impressive 63 percent from the field in the second half and stretching its lead into double digits. The Pacers used a 15–4 run over a five-minute span midway through the period to pull away with the win.

The Giants shot 40 percent from the field and connected on six three-pointers but was hurt by 16 turnovers and Marywood's advantage on the glass, as the Pacers outrebounded the Giants 42–36 and scored 15 second chance points.

Keystone (1-2) will look to bounce back on Saturday when it travels to face Wilkes University.
