Men’s Basketball Cruises Past SUNY Potsdam

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team cruised to a 102-76 victory over SUNY Potsdam Saturday afternoon.

Keystone took control early and never trailed for long, jumping out to a first-half advantage behind hot shooting and crisp ball movement. The Giants outpaced the Bears 54-36 in the opening 20 minutes, setting the tone with a balanced scoring attack and physical play on the glass.

Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) led the way with 22 points, going 8-for-9 from the field and knocking down key buckets to keep the visitors off balance. The senior dished out five assists and recorded dour steals.  Jden Golding (Jacksonville, Fla./Clay) added 15 points with four rebounds, while Josh Brown (Phillipsburg, N.J./Bethlehem Catholic) chipped in 14 on 6-of-9 shooting and grabbed eight boards.

PJ Murphy (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and Tyler Ditton (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) contributed 17 and 11 points off the bench, respectively. This gave the Giants continuous offensive thrust throughout the game.

Potsdam battled with effort, led by Ethan Baksh's 14 points and contributions from Jaylen Singh and Bryson Brown (10 points each), but Keystone's offensive rhythm and depth proved too much.

Keystone shot nearly 59 percent from the floor and 58.3 percent from three in the first half, building a commanding lead before the break. The Giants continued their efficiency after halftime, finishing with 38 field goals on 65 attempts and a balanced attack that saw multiple players in double figures.

Keystone (2-7) welcomes Misericordia University to the Gambal Athletic Center on Monday at 3 p.m.
