LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's flag football team defeated Cairn University 13-6 in a home play day on Saturday, Apr. 5 at the Turf Field Athletic Complex.
The contest was scoreless at the conclusion of the first half. The Highlanders responded with a touchdown on their first drive of the third quarter.
The Giants responded as Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) found Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) for a score to tie the game. The game would remain tied until the closing seconds of the fourth quarter as Izzy Rosario (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) scored the game-winning touchdown off a pass from Osbahr. Rosario would add a one-point conversion shortly afterwards.
Defensively, Hailey Bare (Hazelton, Pa./) and Rose Bare (Bronx, N.Y./Taft) had an interception each.
Keystone will compete in the United East Conference Tournament hosted by Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 11 a.m.
